The trail to Rams Head on the northeast side of the island contrasts with the normal soft white sand Beaches found elsewhere on St. John. You start at the Salt Pond area, going past Trunk Bay on this two hour tour.

With a plethora of the world’s most gorgeous beaches, the St. John vacationer is sure to experience the ultimate day of sunbathing, swimming, or just limin’ on the warm sand with a good book. Below are just a few of these beaches raved about by both locals and far away visitors.  Highly recommend reading is a book called St. John Beaches, the best resource we’ve come across if you truly desire to learn the hidden locations and histories of the 35 + beaches on the island.   Most astonishing is that many of these beaches are in the National Park and so are maintained and protected indefinitely.  Several of them have concession stands and water sport rentals, even an underwater snorkeling trail is followed by many at Trunk Bay.

Le Chateau – St John Villas

Le Chateau is an elegant, three-story, two-bedroom and three-bath Mediterranean-style villa set 850 feet atop Peter Peak.It features breathtaking views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel, the British Virgin Islands and Cinnamon Bay.

This is one of the most striking of Cathrineburg villas. Rare tropical hardwoods and island stonework grace the interior of this luxurious villa. The main living floor has 28-foot ceilings and large arched windows, which surround the living room, formal dining area and full kitchen.

Getting around the island is easy. Cruz Bay, the major town where the ferry docks, is on the west end of the island facing Red Hook in St. Thomas. It is connected by well maintained paved roads (see map) to most of the bays & beaches & to Coral Bay, the picturesque yacht harbor on the east end of the island.  Several local agencies, all a short walk from the ferry dock, offer rental cars, jeeps & canopied trucks by the day or week. Colorful canopied taxis also line the dock all day & evening, offering rides to every island destination & tours.
