Location
Sosua is a typical Spanish-Caribbean town full of life. With a well balanced mix of local industry and tourism it offers a solid infrastructure for daily needs.
Three powdery white beaches invite bathing and various water sports in the turquoise-blue sea. Infiniti Blu is located at Playa Imbert, offering privacy at the beach and still easy access to the town center. Airport Luperon Puerto Plata is just 15 minutes away. Beautiful coral reefs lie just offshore and provide an impressive underwater habitat. The corals and colorful tropical fish can provide hours of entertainment for snorkeling and scuba diving alike. It is a most precious Caribbean destination for sure.
Sosua is the Acapulco of the Dominican Republic. You could say that this is where tourism first began back in the early 70s. Even though development has spread, it has created a very nice international community.
Foreigners who originally came for a beach holiday have now established their own ex-pat communities and businesses. There are large numbers of Europeans and Americans who live here year round even though most of the foreigners living is Sosua come from north America.
The one kilometer long Sosua Beach continues to be the main attraction of the area. In spite of the large number vendors who have set up their shops right on the beach, it’s still one of the most spectacular.
