Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise, is situated in the British Virgin Islands, a stunning and unspoilt area of the Caribbean. At 74 acres, Necker sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches. This is the perfect island hideaway from the madding crowds. Necker Island can accommodate up to 28 guests at a time in both the eight bedroom Great House and the six private Balinese Houses. There are also two golden beaches and tons of water sports just waiting for guests to explore. The villa is also equipped with a freshwater swimming pool, gorgeous pool deck as well as two Jacuzzis.

Features and Amenities

Each of the eight bedrooms on the main villa offers the guests a unique view of the Caribbean Sea and the British Virgin Islands. All are welcome on Necker Island. Owner Richard Branson designed the island to be his family’s holiday home, therefore it is no surprise that Necker Island is a child-friendly one! The only time when the island is best left to adults-only is during the Couples-Only Celebration Weeks. That said, there are established Family Fun Weeks. We recommend you verify with our LaCURE agents the established dates for both aforementioned categories. A multitude of children’s activities is available. Necker Island is as well the idyllic wedding and honeymoon destination for discriminating guests.

Necker Island villa’s eight bedroom Great House is the only main property on Necker Island. The villa is spacious and offers its guests a calming tropical Balinese theme. The focal point of the main living room is its enormous Cathedral-style vaulted ceiling. Equipped with comfortable seating, a wet bar, and a billiards table, the main living area is the perfect place for entertaining. The state-of-the-art kitchen is where the resident chefs prepare their famous dishes. The Great House also features an array of exercise equipment, as well as an extensive book, music, and video library for hours of entertainment. There are six stunning rooms and a spacious Junior Suite each with a balcony, a King size bed with mosquito net and en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs is the Master Suite, complete with outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor bath and an excellent home entertainment system.

The Bali Houses are six beautiful private residences built in authentic Balinese style. Some of the Bali houses are split levels complete with meditation room. Bali Hi, Bali Cliff and Bali Beach are built on a cliff in order to maximise views and sea breezes, and share a plunge pool. Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila can be found in the middle of the island and boast wonderful views with a large private pool.  Golf buddies (mules) are provided for guests so they can drive to and from their Bali House to the other areas of the island.

Necker Island Villa’s staff of 60 is available 24 hours to ensure that our guests have all of the accommodations they need on their vacation to Necker Island. There is a maid and cook on hand to handle all of the extra work. Guests can relax at the pool or play a round of tennis. Guests can also relax at the golden beaches just steps away. There are also two golden beaches and tons of water sports just waiting for guests to explore. Main Beach is where most of the water activities are based and where you will find the Tennis and Beach Pavilion, where guests have access to two floodlit courts and a viewing pavilion. Equipment is provided, although enthusiasts may wish to bring their own. There is also a professional tennis coach who is normally resident at Necker Island for those who wish to perfect their game and as well arrange tournaments. Some of the fabulous water activities include windsurfing, snorkeling, water skiing, sailing or even charter a luxurious yacht for the day. Turtle Beach is a more peaceful palm-fringed beach, with hammocks hanging between the trees and an aqua-trampoline anchored to the sea floor.

The fabulous Bali Leha Spa is the Balinese way of describing peace and tranquility; here guests will be pampered by a sensational selection of spa treatments, performed by the two fully trained spa therapists. There are many other places where guests may find a peaceful spot to relax and the more energetic guests can take the two hour walk around the island to view the flora and fauna. Necker Island Villa is available year round and the rates include all meals and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) as well as pick up and drop off from the airports. Spa treatments are not included in the rates, and all treatments are available upon request. The rates include your accommodation, all meals and drinks (including all alcoholic beverages), return launch transfer from Virgin Gorda or Beef Island airports, a team of approximately 60 fabulous staff, two freshwater swimming pools and the two Jacuzzis, the beach pool, the two flood-lit tennis courts, windsurfing and kite surfing equipment, the fully equipped gymnasium, sailing and speed boats, kayaks, water-skiing equipment, snorkelling equipment, inflatable banana boat, fishing equipment (excluding deep-sea), a local calypso band for one party evening, the extensive video, book and music libraries and board games, the full sized pool table, laundry (dry cleaning not available), business facilities and 7% local tax.

Necker Island is located in the British Virgin Islands to the north of Virgin Gorda, one of the country’s larger islands.
