Seagrape Cottage, Little Thatch Island, BVI

Soon-to-be-married couples often consider Caribbean villas for rent when planning their future honeymoons. Long-time duos also typically schedule Caribbean vacations to get away from their hectic and stressful lifestyles to rekindle the fire in their relationships.

Whatever the reason a couple of lovebirds may have for going off to the far-off tropical islands, it’s crucial that they select the right venue to truly make their entire trip memorable and enjoyable.

The Seagrape Cottage is located on the Little Thatch Island – this small, privately owned tropical paradise offers unparalleled privacy and excellent accommodations for all of its guests. Unlike the other commonly designed Caribbean villas for rent, the Seagrape Cottage features one room only, making it ideal for couples.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a basket of snacks and drinks while being escorted on a private launch going to the island. Moreover, the employees will immediately ask visitors to state what groceries, beverages, alcoholic drinks plus other things they’ll need throughout the duration of their entire stay. After such, management will send out staff to purchase the requested items, and deliver them to the room.

Inside this dream house includes everything people could ever want to stay comfortable and happy – air-conditioning throughout the entire area, indoor plus outdoor showers, ceiling fans, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, and more.

Planning Caribbean vacations at a place like this is highly recommended for individuals who don’t like having to do household work while on a holiday – included in the Seagrape Cottage getaway package is maid service, which is available six times a week.

Surrounded by a magnificent stonewall, this private villa features an outdoor hot tube for twosomes to laze around in while taking in the reinvigorating sea breeze. Its seafront location makes it even more attractive, since guests would simply have to take a few steps to reach the powdery, soft, white sand beach to take a dip in the turquoise blue ocean.

Catering for a woman’s romantic desires won’t be a problem at all, thanks to the exquisite dining table set on the porch – here, wine or champagne can be downed while enjoying the splendid view of the ocean.

Of course, Seagrape Cottage has a variety of outdoor activities (just like other Caribbean villas for rent have) in store for its guests, such as snorkeling and badminton. Considering all the features this villa has to offer, it’s not difficult to imagine why so many Caribbean vacations take place here.

Location

Little Thatch Island is a tiny island off the coast of Tortola. Powdery white-sand beaches, lush green mountains, and a sheltered yacht-filled harbour characterize the island of Tortola, where the past of the West Indies meets the present of the BVI. The largest island in the chain, Tortola offers a variety of exciting vacation possibilities. The protected anchorages at Brandywine Bay, Cane Garden Bay, Hodge’s Creek Marina Cay, Soper’s Hole and Trellis Bay are ideal for boaters. Secluded palm-shaded beaches at Apple Bay, Brewer’s Bay, Elizabeth Beach, Josiah’s Bay Beach, Long Bay Beach and Smuggler’s Cove make for excellent swimming and snorkeling. There are also many well-equipped facilities for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and more.

Wander through centuries-old ruins such as Fort Burt, Fort Recovery, the Mount Healthy Windmill and Callwood’s Rum Distillery, which is still in operation, and explore Tortola’s history at the BVI Folk Museum in Road Town. Main Street in Road Town, the capital city, has an array of shops and restaurants; offering everything from local spices, jams, rums, and soaps to handcrafted jewelery, silk-screened fabrics, and local art. The cuisine of Tortola reflects the island’s rich cultural mix, whether it’s a four-star dinner at a converted sugar mill or a delicious West Indian roti at a pastel-painted cottage. Local delicacies such as fresh lobster, conch, spicy goat, curries and Johnny Cakes make each meal memorable.

Escape to the cool slopes of Sage Mountain National Park, where traces of a primeval rain forest can still be seen at higher elevations. On the mountain ridge that runs through the island, observe local Caribbean life with its gentle rhythms, farms, settlements and churches. Outcroppings and vertical ghuts, or dry steam valleys, expose the deep, rich earth of this volcanic island. In Road Town, the J.R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens offers peaceful walks through pergolas and pathways covered with colourful vines, as well as a miniature rain forest and a fern house. The people of Tortola are friendly and known for their warmth and hospitality. There are a wide variety of places to stay, ranging from campgrounds to luxury resorts and private villas. Tortola is also an ideal point from which to explore the other British Virgin Islands. Regular ferries, private and crewed yachts, and planes travel daily to the other islands of the BVI.
